The Mr England final was held a day before the Miss England final in Coventry at the Ricoh arena. The twenty semi finalists went through stages and heats to be judged accordingly, including sports person, personality, talent, and working with charities, with looks playing just one part of the whole. A finalist should be top of one of the various catagories, including a voting system which will define the final outcome.
The winner of Mr England 2015 was a very surprised Mr Liverpool, otherwise known as Christopher Bramell, who works in a supermarket in his local area. After the announcement his family greeted him with a very loud celebration, which was in fact one of the loudest in the Mr England competition for years.
We spoke to him about his win,”Well it was overwhelming definitely, seeing some of the candidates, I actually didn’t think I had a chance, there’s a few lads out there who have done really well tonight and deserved as much as me to win.”
He continued to mention, “I’m just a normal lad from Liverpool, working class background, and I did it, so if I can do it, anyone else can do it.”
The 1st runner up was Tom Jones, “Mr Bedfordshire” (Pictured right) with the 2nd runner up being Joshua Williams, “Mr Birmingham” (pictured Left).
Director of Miss England and Mr England, Angie Beasley told us how she felt about the outcome, “Well, it was a huge success were delighted at how it’s gone, we’ve got a wonderful winner, it just goes to show you know, all the boys that got into the top three, they’ve all made an effort in the competition, they’ve done fund raising, they’ve got a great personality and they know what being a title holder is all about, and it shows that they, well, Chris, is going to be a great Mr England and I’m looking forward to seeing him in Mr World.”
Chris will now be moving on to the Mr World contest which will be held in China, representing of course his own country, England.
