Leicester’s biggest restaurant will soon be opening its doors to the general public when the Red Hot World Buffet launches at the end of this month. The chain, which has already enjoyed successful ventures in cities such as Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham, is expected to be the highest single restaurant investment ever made in Leicester, following a £2 million renovation.
It will offer cuisines from all around the world, including Italian, American, Mexican, Chinese,Japanese, Indian and British, with prices for the buffet starting from £8.99. There will be a wide selection with hundreds of food choices available and people can go up as many times as they want.
The new ‘all you can eat’ restaurant is to be situated on the corner of the High Street and the Highcross shopping centre and will take up 16,000 sq feet over two floors. It can seat up to 420 customers and there will be a bar at the front of the venue as well as regular live entertainment features.
70 new jobs are to be created, with positions including management posts, chefs and waiting and bar staff. Swathes of people have rushed to apply, and James Horler, CEO of the Red Hot World Buffet group commented that there have already been 1500 applicants: “We are very excited to be moving into Leicester and with over 1,500 people already applying for 70 jobs with us, I’m sure it will be a successful investment.”
James added: “The venue will have everything under one roof including a fantastic choice of food to suit every taste from pizza and pasta to sushi and a world grill serving meats and fish. Not forgetting the range of quality desserts including 14 varieties of cake, four types of fruits, two Indian desserts and a chocolate fountain with all the trimmings.
“We hope to offer something for everyone. It’ll be a great destination for families to enjoy a meal out together plus with the variety and quality of food on offer, it’s an ideal place for groups of friends, work colleagues or students to have a night out.”
