CHAIIWALA ANNOUNCED AS THE HEADLINE SPONSOR OF THIS YEAR’S NHS HEROES BALL

Chaiiwala has been named as the headline sponsor of this year’s NHS Heroes Ball, which is designed to raise funds for the city’s hospitals.

Chaiiwala has chosen to support the event, as it’s passionate about supporting Leicester Hospitals Charity, an organisation whose work betters the lives of critically ill children, among other things.

The charity is hosting its second NHS Heroes Ball on October 13 in association with Pukaar Group, with the aim of raising enough money to buy two new ventilators for the neonatal unit at Leicester’s Hospitals.

It’s something which resonates with Chaiiwala “immensely”, said a spokesman for the business, which sits on Melton Road.

“Chaiiwala is a Leicester born business and these hospitals are on our home-turf. We welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with the charity to better our community at a truly remarkable level,” said Zain-ul-Abedin, Head of Marketing at the restaurant.

“The NHS has been a tremendous force in recent years during the Pandemic and we are happy to celebrate the heroes of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, along with businesses from the local community, coming together to raise as much money as possible for our future; the children of Leicester and beyond. Giving critically ill children the best start in life is the responsibility of the whole community, and Chaiiwala are excited about the prospect of helping to lead this cause in association with the charity.”

Leicester Hospitals Charity exists to support the three hospitals in Leicester; the Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester Glenfield and Leicester General Hospitals.

“Without the Charity, the hospitals we have here would be underfunded and tired,” said a spokesman for the cause.

At the Heroes Ball, there will be a live and silent auction, as well as an three course Indian dinner, and plenty of entertainment.

Tickets for the event are currently being sold, with a table of ten available for £1,500.

“It truly is a key event in bringing together the best of the local businesses to celebrate the hard work of our incredible NHS Staff while raising some much-needed funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,” said Mr Abedin of the event.
