The first Eid Shopping Festival is taking place in Leicester later this month – a ‘one stop shop’ where people can buy everything from jewellery, to food, homeware and decor.
The festival, which is to be held at the city’s Platinum Suite, will take place over three days between March 30 and 31, with a wide range of items on sale.
According to spokesman Yaseen Jakhura, who runs Ramadan Publications, the event will be a massive ‘fusion of fashion, food and lifestyle.’
“It’s an opportunity for people to get all their Eid shopping done under one roof. We’re hoping to get around 60 different stalls, all selling different things,” he explained.
“As well as raising funds for charity, it is an opportunity for old and newly established brands and businesses to promote their products, latest innovations and masterpieces, creating brand awareness all around,” he added.
“It’s all very exciting – an event I’ve been wanting to do for years and partnering with Platinum Suite has made it possible. It will be one of the Midland’s largest Eid shopping expos so don’t miss out!”
Items such as perfume, jewellery, accessories and exclusive modest fashion will be on sale, as well as homeware and decor.
There will also be a kid zone and a stage for people to present their work if they wish.
Entry to the event, which runs between 2pm and 12am is £1, with all proceeds going to Islamic Relief.
