Stay cool and active this summer, as children between the ages of 6-16 are being given the chance to splash down for £1 at six city council pools during the school summer holidays.
The kids for a quid sessions are available at Cossington Street, Spence Street, New Parks, Braunstone, Aylestone, and Evington leisure centres, from July 16 to August 31.
Swimming is already free for children age five and under in Leicester City Council pools.
Deputy city mayor for culture, leisure and sport, Cllr Piara Singh Clair said: “Swimming is a great way for families to exercise and have fun together.
“Our kids for a quid offer will make it easier for families to make the most of our pool, and gives children a very affordable way to have fun during the school holidays.”
More information about the special sessions, including the days and times they are available at each pool, and details of other activities on offer at leisure centres, children’s centres, parks and other venues are available on the council’s website www.leicester.gov.uk/activeleicester
