Saturday 16 June saw ‘A Taste of America’ an event bringing American culture to St Martins House in Leicester with a performance from New York based band Matuto.
The event was organised by Asaf Hussain, who has taught interculturalism at the University of Leicester and has organised previous events such as A Taste of Persia and A Taste of China.
Over £1000 was raised for St Martins House and The Carers Centre. Asaf is already planning his next intercultural event which he promises will be bigger and better.
