Leicester Pride is back! The annual event will see thousands of people taking part in a loud and proud parade through the city centre on Saturday, September 1.
The vibrant parade will move through the city centre on its way to the main event held at Victoria Park.
The free to attend event will feature live singers, dance acts and cabaret from across the country whilst the DJ tent features the best local DJs.
There will be a variety of food and drink on offer and plenty to see and buy in the market stalls area, from artists and merchandisers from across the country. A selection of fairground rides and games are also provided by Billy Bates & Sons fun fair.
The route will take in Rutland Street, Humberstone Gate, East Gates, High Street, Carts Lane, Loseby Lane, St Martins, Hotel Street, Horsefair Street, Market Street, Belvoir Street, King Street, De Montfort Street, University Road and finally Granville Road.
Rolling road closures and parking restrictions will take place to allow the parade to pass through the city.
Leicester Pride is the city’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender festival, which celebrates equality and diversity in the community. The family event is held at the beginning of September each year.
