Eileen Richards of ER Recruitment, Martin Rigley MBE of Lindhurst Engineering and Lindsey Williams of Futures Housing Group, have been appointed as new Board members at the East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire).
Eileen is the founder of Leicester-based Eileen Richards Recruitment. She has worked in the recruitment industry for over 20 years and is Co-Chair of Enterprising Women. Eileen is also a mentor with The Women in Business mentoring scheme. As a Trustee of Hope against Cancer and committee member of the Wooden Spoon Leicester, Eileen is a key driver and supporter of local charities.
Eileen said: “I am a passionate supporter and advocate of the East Midlands business, charity and social communities. It is an honour and a privilege to join East Midlands Chamber as a Non-Executive Director. I am looking forward to supporting the region’s excellent reputation and success in all areas going forward.”
Martin joined the family business of Lindhurst Engineering at Sutton-in-Ashfield in 1994. He was previously an electrical engineer for British Coal. He is the current Chair of the N2 Skills & Employment Board, volunteers as a sector specialist for Nottingham & Nottingham Trent Universities and is a governor at Vision Studio School, Mansfield.
Martin shared his thoughts: “I am passionate about the great things businesses do in this region and I see this opportunity to join the Board as a way to champion and support the activities of East Midlands businesses regionally, nationally and internationally.”
Lindsey has been Group Chief Executive since Futures Housing Group, of Ripley, was formed as Amber Valley Housing in 2003. Futures has evolved to now being a social landlord, training provider, commercial developer and grounds maintenance social enterprise. She has also led a drive to transform how Futures works by embracing new technology, creating great leaders of the future and fostering a company culture of effortless customer experiences.
Lindsey said: “I’m really looking forward to joining the Chamber’s Board of Directors, which has such a fantastic reputation throughout the region. I was delighted as I feel strongly that it is important to have cross-sector views to support the social and economic prosperity of the East Midlands.”
