A NUMBER of bereavement hubs are being opened across Leicestershire and Rutland, to help those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
The LOROS Bereavement Hubs offer drop in sessions that aim to provide those who are bereaved with a place where they can access information, talk to others and share their thoughts and feelings.
The new service will be based in different locations across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, and will be run by trained bereavement volunteers.
The hubs are available to anyone over 18 who has been bereaved, regardless of the cause.
“There is no need for an appointment, just drop in at any time during the session,” said a spokesman for LOROS.
“When someone close to us dies it can be the most painful experience. If you need someone to talk to LOROS is here to support you.”
One of the hubs is set to open at Birstall Methodist Church on Friday, March 4.
Sessions will take place at the church on Wanlip Lane, every Friday between 1.30pm and 3pm.
On Thursday (February 3), a hub will also start at Agar Nook Community Centre in Coalville. These sessions will take place every Thursday between 1.30pm-3pm.
More details of hubs opening across the area, will be added as they are confirmed.
