A magical trail of 350 tractors lit up the streets of South Leicestershire last weekend, to raise funds for local charities.
Archers Festive Tractor Run, took place on Saturday (December 17), with the festively decorated convoy making its 30-mile journey through villages including Lutterworth, Cosby, Whetstone and Gilmorton.
It is the third year that the popular spectacle has taken place in South Leicestershire.
Organised by Countesthorpe resident Ryan Archer, the event is designed to raise festive spirits and important funds for charity.
Although this year’s proceeds are still being counted, last year the event raised £40,000 for two good causes.
The money raised from this year’s tractor run will be split between LOROS and the Leicestershire MS Therapy Centre.
Alberta Costa, MP for South Leicestershire was present at the festive event.
“Ryan has once again done a fantastic job in organising another brilliant tractor run as 300+ festive tractors made their way across South Leicestershire on Saturday evening,” he said.
“Over the past few years, the tractor run has become a South Leicestershire favourite with thousands of constituents turning out to see the lit-up tractors in all their glory.
“My huge thanks to Ryan and all the farmers that took part in this year’s run for their great efforts and fundraising.”
