PHOTOS RELEASED OF MEN KILLED IN A46 HORROR CRASH

POLICE have released photographs of the two men who died in a road traffic collision on the A46, which has resulted in five people being charged with murder.

They are believed to be 21-year-old Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin(pictured left) and Saqib Hussain, 21, both from Banbury, Oxfordshire.

They died following the collision which happened at around 1.30am on Friday, February 11, on the A46, just before the Six Hills Junction.

Support is being provided to the families of Mr Hussain and Mr Ijazuddin at this time Leicestershire Police have confirmed and formal identification is yet to be carried out.

Five people have been charged with murder in connection with the incident.  

Raees Jamal, 21, of Lingdale Close, Leicester, and Rekan Karwan, 28, of Tomlin Road, Leicester, have both been charged with murder, alongside three women Natasha Akhtar, 21, of Alum Rock Road, Birmingham Tik Tok star Mahek Bukhari, 22, and her mother Ansreen Bukhari, 45.

They are both of George Eardley Close, Stoke.

The two victims died at the scene when their vehicle was “run off the road” and split in two while being chased by the defendants, it has been alleged.

They were travelling in a silver Skoda Fabia, which hit a central reservation barrier after allegedly being rammed off the road, heard Leicester Magistrates Court.

A 20-year-old man arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder, has been released from police custody with no further action to be taken.

All five defendants are expected to attend a crown court plea and case management hearing on March 18, with a provisional six-week trail date pencilled in for September 26.
