A special ceremony was held this week in Leicester to mark the birthday of Hindu god Lord Hanuman following six days of festivities.
The celebrations led by Swamiji who travelled from India for the occasion, took place at a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman on Melton Road.

Highlights included daily recitals and the sharing of blessed food ‘Prashad’ offered to the deity and then distributed among the devotees.

Earlier this month hundreds of young people were at the Temple to celebrate the birthday of Hindu deity Lord Ram.
