De Montfort University’s staff, students as well as members of the public gathered at Castle Gardens in Leicester to raise money for Leicestershire’s leading charities.
Hundreds of people danced to the sounds of Bonnie Tyler’s 1980s rock classic Holding Out For A Hero in a hope to set a world record for the largest flash Mob ever to lip-synch.
DMU’s flashmob was supported by police officers, the Leicester Tigers players and the Leicestershire county cricketers took part to raise loads of money for the charities.
The event was filmed and shot at DMU campus in order to help raise money for Loros hospice and cancer charity Prostaid. It was a great way for the students to represent their university and an opportunity for the members of the public to get a taste of life at DMU.
