An ITV documentary focused on a high profile Leicestershire Police murder investigation will air this evening (Tuesday, January 30).
TikTok: Murder Gone Viral, which will broadcast on ITV1 tonight at 9pm, documents the force’s investigation into the murders of Saqib Hussain and Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin in February 2022.
The hour-long programme has been filmed with permission of Mr Hussain and Mr Ijazuddin’s families with family members appearing in the documentary.

Three Leicestershire Police officers have also been interviewed as part of the programme – Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Mark Parish, Officer in the Case Detective Constable Gemma Ashmore and Family Liaison Officer/Interviewing Officer Detective Constable James Simpson.
Journalists who reported on the investigation and trial are also interviewed.
The force’s Corporate Communications department have also worked closely with the documentary production team over the past five months during the filming and editing of the programme.
The investigation led to four people – Ansreen Bukhari, Mahek Bukhari, Raees Jamal and Rekan Karwan – being found guilty in August last year of the murder of Mr Hussain and Mr Ijazuddin after their car was rammed off a dual carriageway during a high-speed chase on the A46 near Six Hills.
Three people – Ameer Jamal, Sanaf Gulumastafa and Natasha Akhtar were found not guilty of murder but were found guilty of the manslaughter of Mr Hussain and Mr Ijazuddin.
