A tribute was held in Leicester on Saturday to remember the missing Nigerian schoolgirls, who were kidnapped last year.
219 schoolgirls were kidnapped in Nigeria by Islamic Terrorists, Boko Haram, just over a year ago. Reema Chauhan, a Mother from Leicestershire organised a two-hour session at Leicester Cathedral to remember the victims.
She said, “Its very easy to get on with your everyday lives, but I think at the end of the day, these girls are going through, goodness knows really what they’re going through, reports of pregnancy, forced marriages, rapes, all sorts of things and for their families they cant just move on”
“As a human being we have to do something, we have keep that pressure on to make sure that some sort of change is brought about for good”
