The trial of the arson attack in Wood Hill is finally nearing a close. Dr Muhammad Taufiq’s family was killed in the house fire last September. This week saw the 8 suspects charged in court this week. All eight of the offenders were convicted, two for murder and the others for manslaughter.
This week, 7 men and a youth were found guilty of killing four members of the same family after a fire at their home in Leicester. The jury heard the Taufiq Sattar family home was set ablaze to avenge the death of a football coach who was stabbed to death just a few hours earlier – but the wrong house was targeted.
