A Polish folklore festival is coming to Leicester in March, which will celebrate some of the country’s biggest traditions.
The 10th Polish Folklore Spectacular will take place on the 10 and 11 March at De Montfort Hall in Leicester, with over 400 performers coming to the city from across the UK and Ireland to take part.
Polish folklore includes traditional singing, dances and music, as well as traditional clothing.
This event will be the 25th anniversary of the Polish Folklore Spectacular which first took place in Leamington Spa in 1993.
Ania Spzek, Chairperson of of the Federation of Polish Folklore Groups in the UK, said:
“We are very excited about this anniversary event. We have more participant groups and performers than ever before taking part making for a full and varied programme.
“The event will be a truly spectacular performance, showcasing authentic Polish songs and dances from many regions of Poland – some are elegant and romantic, while others are lively and acrobatic.”
