De Montfort University welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex today. He was there to officially open The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre and to open the new offices of the DMU Square Mile project.
His Royal Highness was invited on a tour of the new leisure centre’s facilities and to meet DMU sports societies who have been using the £8million centre.
Prince Edward also visited Fosse Neighbourhood Centre in the square mile project where he was introduced to project leaders and participants involved in the projects.
