A TEENAGE girl was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in the New Parks area of Leicester.
The 25-year-old man was stabbed in the chest last Monday (January 3), in the Biddle Road area at around 8.30pm.
He was taken to hospital for treatment at the time and has since been discharged.
A 17-year-old female, of Leicester, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident. She has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Officers from Leicestershire Police have been making ongoing enquiries, including house-to-house visits and analysing CCTV footage.
Detectives continue to appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident who has not yet spoken with police to make contact.
“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries and speaking to a number of people to establish the full circumstances. We do continue to appeal to anyone who was in the area of Biddle Road on Monday evening and who saw or heard anything which could be connected to this incident to make contact, said detective constable Louise Osborne.
“If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area that you have not checked then please do so and make contact with us.”
