Voting lines opened up to the public February 12 for this year’s Miss & Mr Leicestershire Model awards.
The awards will be held at the Mercure Leicester Grand Hotel on Thursday March 17th where Miss and Mr Leicestershire 2016 will be crowned.
Over 100 contestants were scouted in January by Danique Hairdressing and the Miss England scouts. Angie Beasley, Director of Miss England speaks a little about the shortage of male contestants: “The guys are always shy to come forward! We have invited over 30 guys to attend but very few actually attended “says Angie Beasley.
“So far we have selected 7 guys from the 15 that turned up at the audition but sadly one has dropped out today!!! So we need more men to come forward for the competition!
“The winner qualifies for the next Mr England finals and wins the opportunity to be represented by DNA Models of Leicester who are judging the competition!”
The local male and female winners will win over £2,000 worth of prizes including haircare for the year from Danique Hairdressing, a beautiful gown from Leicester Bridal and evening gown specialist Arinder Bhullar the opportunity to be represented by DNA Models and a photo shoot and portfolio and both will have the opportunity to represent the county at the Miss & Mr England finals.
All the Leicestershire female finalists are invited to have expert advice from Silk Powder Make-up artists lash extensions from Angel Eyes as a special gift for reaching the finals and both male and females can have their hair styled by Danique Hairdressing on the day of the finals.
