Nooran Sisters Speak to Pukaar News Speak Ahead of UK Tour

Pukaar News catch up with the Nooran Sisters ahead of their debut UK tour starting in Leicester.


The world famous Sufi Singers will be performing four dates in the UK starting on Thursday 26 November at Leicester’s Ramgharia Hall and finishing on Sunday 29 at Centenary Pavilion in Leeds.



They will also be performing in Birmingham’s Bethnal Convention Centre on Friday 27 and in London at Central Hall in Westminster on Saturday 28 November.


Jyoti and Sultana Nooran come from a family of musicians, and have been trained in the field of traditional “Sufi Music”.


For the past 10 years they have been taught this traditional method of singing by their father Ustad Gulshan Mir, son of the late Ustad Sohan Lal, he is also a grandson of late Bibi Nooran a renowned punjabi sufi singer of her time in the 70’s.


Pukaar News were able catch up with the sisters as well as their Father at a press conference held in Birmingham on Wednesday.
