Fans of Indian cuisine are being asked to nominate their favourite restaurants and takeaways, now that nominations have opened for the 7th annual Leicestershire Curry Awards.
Nominations are sought in 8 different categories: Best Takeaway, Best Street Food, Best Catering, Best Pub Restaurant, Best Vegetarian Restaurant, Best Fine Dining Restaurant and Best New Restaurant. The final category is the coveted Restaurant of the Year.
The closing date for nominations is July 19.
“In Leicestershire, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to great Indian restaurants and takeaways and I’m looking forward to seeing which ones make it through to this year’s glittering grand final!” said Romail Gulzar, founder of the Leicestershire Curry Awards, which were established in 2017.
“The number of restaurants taking part in these awards continues to grow every year, as does the excitement and anticipation!”
The Leicestershire Curry Awards, which take place on September 23, are a celebration of the county’s spicy culinary scene.
Taking place at Leicester’s Athena, they are described as a ‘highlight of the city’s events calendar’ All finalists and supporters are invited to attend for a night of mouthwatering cuisine, excitement and anticipation!
