A group of campaigners gathered yesterday at the statue of King Richard III in Leicester’s Castle Gardens to show their support for his remains to stay in the city.
The gathering which saw the campaigners form a human chain around the statue comes ahead of the judicial review in the high court later this week.
Representatives from Leicester City Council, University of Leicester and Leicester Cathedral will travel down to London on Thursday to fight their case regarding the exhumation licence which stated that the Kings remains should stay in the city.
