This Sunday, thousands of Sikhs from across the country descended on Leicester to take part in the annual Vaisakhi parade.
Starting at the Guru Nanak Gurdwara on Holy bones, the procession made its way through the city centre and up towards the Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdawara on East Park Road.
Vaisakhi is the holiest day in the Sikh calender and marks the formation of the Sikh community in 1699, also known as the Khalsa, it is central to Sikh faith and is the underpinning principle of Seva. This year Vaisakhi day fell on Tuesday April 14th.
